Who We Are:

The Tim Metzger Scholarship was established after the tragic murder of a great person, Tim Metzger.  Coach Metzger was an avid support of Parkside and its student athletes.  While at Parkside he coached football and lacrosse.  Known for his humor and great appetite for both life and food.  He was always quick with a joke or a reminder of the importance of character and loyalty.  Coach Metzger might be gone; but he lives on in our memories and hearts.  A great coach, teammate and brother to many that he met.  We honor him annually by providing support to an outstanding graduating senior male athlete.
